My ‘why’

For anyone arriving here that doesn’t know, I was diagnosed with MS in 2019. The journey to getting diagnosed is a wild story best told in person (please feel free to ask!) but the bottom line is I was very lucky to be diagnosed before getting any long lasting symptoms.

Not only that but within 6 months I started on a course of treatment that is shown to be highly effective for 5+ years, that had only recently become available on the NHS.

Now I have no idea where this condition will take me in the future, but I do know that while I can, I want to do something to support the research that meant I was able to be diagnosed and treated so quickly. I will no doubt have a much better quality of life because of the work of many clever people that this fundraising will support.

I am constantly grateful for all the things I’m able to do in my life without a second thought because of that and that’s where this challenge comes in!

I already walk about 100k a month with Evie, and unfortunately can’t run because of my bad knees, so my plan is to hit 150k in May through more dog walks and sessions on my cross trainer, which should be quite a challenge!

Thank you for being here even if you can’t donate, but anything you can give would be hugely appreciated!
