Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K. I will be taking on 50km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis and better access to treatments!

There are over 150,000 people in the UK living with MS and I need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

You can now support this work in the UK and around the World because The May 50K supports the MS Society UK and the MS International Federation. I’ve accepted the challenge to change lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge.

Thank you so much!

My Updates

My history with MS and why I am taking this jouney

Recently I got diagnosed with Arthritis however it is nothing in comparison to the horrific pain and symptoms my Mother and millions of others globally have to endure living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

A few years ago, while in school, my family and I found out after years of battling for some sort of diagnosis that my wonderful Mother had MS. This has drastically affected her life in countless ways and due to the progressive nature and lack of a cure for MS this is likely to continue for years to come. My Mother has always been there for me and my family and it's only right that I give back to her any way I can. That being said, the MS society is hosting their May 50k fundraiser next month. I am proudly taking this challenge on and have set a goal to walk 100 kilometres during the month of May.

A little information on MS for those who are unaware. MS is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks its own body, damaging the myelin sheath of nerves causing the reduction in ability to react due to the reduction in speed of electrical impulses through the nerves. MS also causes brain legions (scarring on the brain) which negatively impacts communication between the brain and the body. Scotland has one of the highest rates of MS in the world with over 17,000 people suffering from the condition.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read until this point. If you could donate any amount from now through May I would be forever grateful! Any contribution at all helps no matter the figure and is going to a great cause that affects thousands in our country.
