My 50km Walk for MS

This May, I’m taking on 50km for the MS Society’s May 50K 💛

But this isn’t just a challenge for me — it’s personal.

My symptoms started at 14, and I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 15. MS as a teenager is rare, and as a Black woman, it’s something that often feels overlooked and misunderstood.

For a long time, I was ashamed of my MS. I worried about how people would see me. I kept it quiet. But the truth is — I did nothing to deserve this condition, and I’m done hiding it.

MS is part of my life. It’s something I live with every day and while there are things I’ve had to adapt or work around, it hasn’t stopped me. I’ve gone to university, become a physiotherapist, and I’m still here living my life — even if it looks “invisible” to most people.

That’s why this matters so much to me. Over 150,000 people in the UK live with MS, and many are still misunderstood or unseen.

I’m walking 150km this month not just for awareness, but for better treatments, better support, and for everyone living with MS — especially those who feel unseen.
