Lissy’s Fundraiser for MS
Throughout May I will be participating in the May 50k challenge to raise awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. The MS Society is a charity very close to my heart. As many people will know, my amazing Dad was diagnosed with MS many years ago and my family has seen firsthand the devastating impact that MS can have.Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.
The MS Society fund world-leading research with the aim of finding treatments to slow or even stop the progression of MS. They also help and support those affected by MS through their MS Helpline and local groups.
